BIOGRAPHY
Euan Lynch is a baritone who has recently completed his BMus at Newcastle University.
He began singing at a young age and became a chorister at Grimsby Minster, singing regularly throughout the week.
Since then, he has performed with a range of ensembles, including Opera North Youth Chorus and the National Youth Choir of Great Britain.
Alongside his choral work, Euan has been actively involved in both opera and musical theatre, making his operatic debut as Harry in Britten’s Albert Herring. He has since appeared in productions of Verdi’s Macbeth, Strauss’s Die Fledermaus, and Puccini’s La Bohème.
As a member of Opera North Youth Chorus, he also performed in the UK premiere of Kevin Puts’ Silent Night.
During his time in Newcastle, Euan participated in the Samling Academy and performed with New Vocal Ensemble, exploring repertoire ranging from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary choral works by composers such as
Tallis, Howells, and Gjeilo.
Most recently, he performed the role of Le Prince Charmant in DalOpera’s 2024 production of Pauline Viardot’s Cendrillon, andhas continued to give recitals across Newcastle in 2025 and 2026.
Alongside his performance work, Euan is an active music educator. He has undertaken educational work with the VOCES8 Foundation, and currently serves as Assistant Conductor for Curtain Up Productions, Simply Singing Choir (Brigg), and Grimsby Minster, reflecting his commitment to choral leadership and community music-making.
